Hello, this is Takahashi and I am the vice director from the Hokkaido Government Representative Office.
Do you know Kyun-chan? Kyun-chan is a northern pika, a small furry rabbit-like animal (“ezo-nakiusagi”) found only in Hokkaido, and used for promoting Hokkaido tourism. “Kyun” is a Japanese onomatopoeia used when something touches our hearts. Kyun-chan is so shy that he wears a Hokkaido deer hat (“ezo-shika”) to hide his shyness… so cute, isn’t he? Why don’t you come to our office to meet and take a photo with Kyun-chan? Of course, we have information about Hokkaido tourism. Please feel free to drop by!
